Spectrum Corporate Finance has announced that Julie Lada has recently joined as a manager in the debt advisory team, working across both the Reading and London offices.

Lada is an experienced banking associate having spent the past four years at HSBC, prior to which she worked for the National Bank of Greece and Corporate Deals S.A. in Athens. Over this time she has gained a wealth of experience and understanding of corporate finance with a significant amount of time spent in leveraged finance. Lada is also skilled in the banking credit process, portfolio management, data analytics and capital management.

Lada will work with Ian Milne and Simon Sherliker across all areas of debt advisory projects including presenting client businesses to potential lenders, structuring and debt modelling.

Her appointment has been driven by the continued high-demand for debt advisory services. This follows a record year for the debt team, completing 25 transactions in the past 12 months and raising over £275 million on behalf of management teams and private equity investors funding acquisitions, raising working capital facilities or refinancing and recapitalising existing debt facilities.

Spectrum has recently been shortlisted in the debt adviser of the year category at the unquote British Private Equity Awards 2018 - the winner will be announced at the awards ceremony on October 2.

Managing director and head of debt advisory Ian Milne commented: “We are delighted to welcome Julie to the Spectrum team as we continue to grow our debt advisory business. Julie has an excellent skill-set, along with solid experience in banking and corporate finance.

"We continue to invest in areas where we see growth potential, and the last few years have demonstrated the high-demand for our hands-on debt advisory services, particularly within the private equity community.”

Lada said: “Having followed Spectrum’s impressive track record for quite some time now, I am thrilled to be joining at a time of impressive growth. I look forward to working with such a reputable team to further support the delivery of high quality advisory services to Spectrum’s clients, whilst developing in my role as a debt advisor. I am fortunate to be joining such a respected company that prides itself on top quality service.”
