Gloucestershire accountants Randall & Payne have been shortlisted ‘Audit team of the year’ for the third year in a row

Local accountants and business advisors, Randall & Payne, have once again been shortlisted for the British Accountancy Award’s Audit Team of the Year.

As a Cheltenham-based accountancy firm, Randall & Payne have been shortlisted alongside other firms from the UK Top 50 for 2018 (by turnover) as well as a firm shortlisted in the National Firm of the Year category.

The belief of the firm is – “to make your success our priority”.  This is the message to both clients and staff.  This collaboration is critical to an efficient client service but also recognised by the team, and this has a fundamental impact on the team’s performance.

2019 has seen the team expand further with two new recruits. They were the first team in the firm to invest in automated working papers which is now the catalyst for digitising the firm, and they have maximised the use of other resources and technology to demonstrate the benefits that can come from this.

Efficiency improvement has been the main aim for Russel Byrd, Audit Partner, and this has allowed his team to take on more clients. His team offer a professional, competent, helpful and friendly service, and it’s these positive relations which have been built with clients which are resulting in more referrals. Tenders are being sent to larger and more complicated entities than they have ever dealt with before.

“Being shortlisted for this award for three years running is an amazing achievement for the audit team here at Randall & Payne. Our focus has always been to deliver an efficient and effective audit to our clients, working collaboratively with them for a common end goal. This recognition is testament to the audit team, and how hard we work to deliver a first-class service to our clients, I am extremely proud of them. To put this into perspective, another firm shortlisted is 15th of the top accountancy firms in the UK”, comments Russel Byrd.

The event takes place on 25 September 2019 at Grosvenor House on Park Lane and is expected to be attended by over 1000 guests from practices all over the country and we wish the team the best of luck on the night.

Randall & Payne, based on Shurdington Road in Cheltenham, has been trading in Gloucestershire for 140 years, employing 55 staff and offering a range of services, including tax, business advisory, accountancy, auditing and corporate finance. The accountancy firm has built a strong reputation for supporting a wide range of Gloucestershire-based businesses.
