National law firm Foot Anstey has made three new promotions, bringing the total number of partners at the firm to 66.

Joining the partnership are Anna Phillips in Exeter, Lara Borrett-Lynch in Southampton and Mark Greatholder in Bristol.

Anna leads the firm’s charity property practice, which advises charities, social enterprises, registered providers and healthcare organisations in solving property related problems.

She also applies her expertise in solving complex property issues to assist the firm’s receivership clients.

Lara is head of affordable housing at Foot Anstey, with more than 20 years’ experience in residential development.

She acts on behalf of housing associations, national and regional housebuilders and local authorities, and her key area of interest is the provision of affordable housing.

Mark heads up the firm’s commercial energy practice and advises on the legal aspects of delivering commercial projects for clients, with particular expertise in clean energy projects.

His proficiency extends to solar and wind (both on-shore and off-shore), district heat networks, battery storage projects, nuclear development including new nuclear build and small modular reactors, EVs, energy from waste, carbon capture, geothermal energy and green hydrogen.

Martin Hirst, managing partner, said: “After an exciting and rewarding year, it’s my privilege to announce this round of partner promotions.

“Congratulations to Anna, Lara and Mark. Each of these individuals has demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership within their respective practice areas and sectors.

“Their promotions recognise their hard work and alignment with the firm’s ambitious growth strategy.

“These appointments highlight the firm’s commitment to supporting internal talent and rewarding those who are playing a key part in helping drive Foot Anstey forwards, strengthening some of our key sector foci.

“I have no doubt we’ll continue to thrive and provide the exceptional service our clients have come to expect with every matter.”
