Oxfordshire's Freeths makes expansion into Scotland through senior appointments

Freeths, a national law firm with offices in Oxford, is expanding into Scotland through the appointments of partners Paul Ockrim and Nick Taylor.

Both Paul and Nick are joining Freeths from Addleshaw Goddard.

The expansion involves Paul and Nick opening Freeths' new Glasgow office at with plans to establish a full-service offering in the region.

Paul specialises in all areas of commercial real estate and regularly advises developers, tenants, investors and funding institutions in retail, leisure, banking, investment and development deals.

Nick has a focus on investment and development finance matters. Advising investors, developers and lenders, he has assisted clients on a wide variety of different real estate resource-based projects such as renewable energy developments.

Freeths' Glasgow office, once opened, will be the firm's 13th in the UK. The Scotland move reflects the firm's successful financial year, with revenues increasing by 15 per cent (taking turnover up to £129 million).
