The MGroup has helped the senior management team at Applicable to acquire the business from Japanese multinational NTT Communications.

Based in Bristol, Applicable offers Microsoft 365 managed services to international clients, with expertise in UC voice services, global networking, data security and change management.

Through the MBO, the firm is looking to strengthen its position as an independent provider of Microsoft 365 and UC solutions to the large enterprise market.

It also hopes to streamline operational efficiencies and transition tasks to its team of global technology specialists.

Mark Wells, director at Applicable, said: “The MGroup Corporate Finance provided the senior management buyout team with strategic support and offered tailored solutions to help us acquire the business from NTT.

“This deal enables the business to strengthen our position in the market, ambitiously expand our global footprint, and drive the future growth of the specialised range of services provided by the Applicable team.

“The MGroup team’s experience and support, as well as the outstanding levels of service that we’ve experienced throughout, have been invaluable to guide us through the process, especially dealing with a large overseas vendor.”

The MGroup has its headquarters in Oxfordshire, with offices in Oxford and Witney.

Mark Crossfield, partner at The MGroup, added: “We were delighted to be invited to support such an interesting transaction.

“Building a negotiating relationship with foreign companies can be a challenge but the Applicable management enabled these barriers to be broken down quickly and concluded in a professional manner.

“The business should now flourish as an independent entity in their capable hands. We wish them well.”
