New jobs as Worcestershire recruitment firm marks successful first year

A county recruitment firm has celebrated its first anniversary after bringing new jobs to Worcestershire and placing hundreds of people into a variety of specialist roles.

Worcester-based GMP Recruitment was founded last summer by local recruitment professionals Mike Pincott and Gareth Matts - with the business going on to place more than 750 people into permanent or temporary office, engineering, manufacturing and logistics jobs.

The recruitment agency has also created four new jobs internally over the first year, with plans to double in size in the next 12 months.

Aside from the firm’s main recruitment base in Worcester’s Copenhagen Street, they are now looking to open a new office in Gloucester in the new year, followed by the opening of a Hereford base next summer.

Mike said: “To be marking our first anniversary is a brilliant milestone. Gareth and I are really proud of what our team has achieved in a hugely tough and demanding year.

“We have partnered with over 50 businesses to place people into short-term jobs, fixed-term contracts and permanent roles. The feedback has been exceptional and it has shown that the jobs market in certain industries continues to thrive.

“We are very fortunate that a large number of our clients were not too adversely affected by Covid-19, and better still, a lot of companies brought their business to GMP at the same time. It cannot be overstated how grateful we are to our clients that have worked with us to date.”

Gareth added: “Now that we have past our first year we are looking to the future and how we can build further here in Worcestershire and in neighbouring counties by adding more people to our team and opening more offices.

“We are looking to really kickstart our new transport and logistics division and to add more recruitment talent to the team as we grow.

“More than anything, we are delighted as much of our success has come through hard work and referrals from many different individuals and companies. That shows things are going in the right direction.”

Mike and Gareth have a combined experience of 25 years in the recruitment industry.

The company works with organisations across the industrial, legal, finance, logistics, office and hospitality sectors.
