Financial and business advisory firm Grant Thornton UK has promoted Private Tax Director, Richard Marsh (pictured), to Partner. Marsh, who joined the firm as a graduate himself, will head up the private wealth area of the South team from the firm’s Bristol office. Marsh is the first head of the southern Grant Thornton Private tax team, bringing together specialists from Bristol, Cardiff, Oxford, Reading, and Southampton.

Marsh has developed his expertise working on scores of corporate finance transactions, including some in excess of £100 million since joining the firm 15 years ago as a graduate. He is also responsible for supporting ultra-high net worth families in all areas of tax affecting them and their businesses.

Marsh also appeared in Accountancy Age’s 35 Under 35 list in 2018, which spotlights young talent in the industry who have made significant contributions to their fields in their careers to date.
