Leading UK law firm Shoosmiths has appointed a new partner to its real estate team, one of the largest multidisciplinary practices in the UK.
Daniel Halstead joins the firm’s Thames Valley office in Forbury Road, bringing 20 years of experience and with particular expertise in development, investment and funding work, including acting for a number of student accommodation developers and operators.
Previously leading the housing and regeneration team in the Bristol office at TLT, Halstead has an exceptional track record of fostering excellent client relationships. He is an expert in the living sector and one of his key ambitions is to build a nationally focused, specialist team in tandem with Shoosmiths’ existing living sector group, working closely with head of living Catherine Williams, and joint head of Shoosmiths’ real estate north team, Andrew Pattinson.
Nathan Rees, partner and head of the Thames Valley real estate team at Shoosmiths said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Daniel to the Thames Valley office. His exceptional client base is testament to the hard work and dedication he has to his clients and to the sector as a whole.
“Daniel brings with him a wealth of expertise and an impressive portfolio of clients that I am certain will enhance our existing offering and aid in building the real estate team both locally and nationally.”
