Worcestershire-based IT and software provider Minster Micro has appointed Simon Edwards as its new operations manager.

An experienced technology specialist, Simon will be charged with managing a range of client-related matters including IT infrastructure and large-scale system installations.

Simon Edwards said: "It’s a great buzz to be back at Minster Micro with Susan and the team. I returned because I wanted to be back around technical people and to work closely with businesses to help shape and support their systems.

"Coming back to Minster Micro is like coming home.”

Simon, whose experience covers more than 25 years in the industry, has previously worked at Minister Micro. He re-joins now following an increase in the number of clients handled by the firm.

The company’s managing director, Susan Marlow, said: “When we knew that Simon was open to the prospect of heading up our operations team he was immediately the frontrunner for the job.

"He was the dream candidate because he knows how Minster Micro works and what is expected. He has also gained valuable insight into the global IT marketplace which will only help us and our clients in the months and years ahead.

"Simon has re-joined us at an exciting time. We are bringing new clients in on a regular basis and are also constantly investing in the next generation of IT talent with a superb batch of young people coming through. Simon will play a key leadership and coaching role in all of that.”

Minster Micro is also invested in the next generation, in November of last year it added three new apprentices to its team. Read more - New jobs for young people as Minster Micro invests in next generation
