Hartpury is proud to have received the Innovation in Education Award at the Circle2Success Excellence in Business Awards 2019.

Russell Marchant, the Vice-Chancellor of Hartpury University and Principal of Hartpury College, accepted the accolade on behalf of his team in front of more than 200 guests at Cheltenham Racecourse.

Circle2Success, which works with some of the region’s most innovative and prestigious businesses, chooses 16 business each year that have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, engagement and best practice.

Announcing Hartpury as the winner of the 2019 Innovation in Education Award, Circle2Success highlighted the specialist institution’s landmark success in gaining university title last year.

Hartpury University is based on the same 360-hectare campus as Hartpury College, which is rated Ofsted Outstanding for its skills and education provision and for its residential provision for students.

“It means that young people can enrol at Hartpury College at the age of 16 and stay with them right through to university and potentially leave with a PhD –  an extremely exciting prospect,” said Circle2Success.

“Achieving university status was a six-year journey and the vision of the management team and governors.

“It was fantastic to see them achieve their goal and reach their destination, especially as Hartpury College celebrated its 70th anniversary.

“We wanted to recognise their achievement, their vison, and the hard work of all those who made it possible.”

Hartpury is home to more than 3,600 college and university level students studying PhDs, postgraduate and undergraduate degrees, diplomas in the areas of sport, equine, animal, agriculture and veterinary nursing, and A-levels.

It’s not too late to apply for courses at Hartpury University and Hartpury College – call 01452 702333 for more information.
