Gloucestershire’s pioneering leaders graduate

Three Gloucestershire business leaders are the first to have been awarded the ground-breaking MBA Leading Business at a University of Gloucestershire graduation ceremony on 23 November, held at Cheltenham Racecourse.

The master’s degree was designed and delivered by QuoLux, the leadership and strategy development specialists, in partnership with the University of Gloucestershire’s School of Business & Technology. Uniquely, the qualification – dubbed ‘the practical MBA’ – is centred on work-based learning, giving business leaders the opportunity to exercise academic rigour in the development of their personal leadership and business growth, with participants gaining a master’s level qualification in running their own business.

Stepping up to receive the world’s first MBA Leading Business degrees at the ceremony were Sarah Bryars, Chief Executive of Target; Luke Freeman, Joint Chief Executive of MF Freeman; and Linsey Temple, Chief Executive of Gloucestershire Engineering Training.

QuoLux was also celebrating the successful achievements of 11 of its alumni who were the latest leaders to be awarded Postgraduate Certificates and Diplomas for their leadership learning on the LEAD and GOLD programmes.

“We’re enormously proud of the achievements of all our alumni, who are transforming their businesses as a result of their learning,” says Stewart Barnes, Managing Director of QuoLux. “Many of them have chosen to pursue the academic accreditation which has been made possible through our partnership with the University of Gloucestershire. It’s fantastic to be able to celebrate with our pioneering MBA graduates and we congratulate the three of them on their tremendous accomplishments.”
