Gateley Legal appoints new head of Guildford branch

Gateley Legal, a law firm with offices in Guildford and Reading, has announced the appointment of partner Louise Paterson as the new head of its Guildford office.

Louise, who has been with the firm for 25 years, began her career with GCL Solicitors in 1998 before the company was acquired by Gateley in 2018. Louise qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and became a partner in 2013.

She said: “I am delighted to have been made head of the office where I have spent my whole working life and where I began my journey to become a practising lawyer all those years ago. I’d like to thank those partners who have supported and encouraged me throughout my career.

“Gateley is committed to investing in its staff and I am particularly keen to assist the younger members of our team to develop and grow with us. I was helped and nurtured in my endeavours to become a solicitor here, very much learning on the job and believe there is no better way to understand than to do.

“In addition, we have a specified purpose of delivering results that will delight our clients, inspire our people while also supporting the communities in which we operate.  In line with this, client delivery will also be my main focus and this will continue to be at the heart of everything we do here in Guildford.”
