Cheltenham law firm BPE Solicitors is celebrating the promotions of four highly talented individuals, with two new Associates and two new Partners.

In April, both the Commercial Litigation and Residential Property teams gained a new Partner, in Peter Knibbs and Katie Moylan, taking BPE’s number of Partners to 30.

Peter has been a prominent member of the Litigation team since joining the firm in 2018 and has gone on to develop a practice in contentious trusts and probate alongside a property litigation and a commercial contract disputes practice.

Katie has proved herself to be a talented and respected lawyer, advising clients both on residential and commercial property transactions and she has also recently stepped up to the role of heading up the residential team at BPE.

BPE has also gained two new Associate Solicitors: Natalie Hopkins (Commercial Property) and Hannah Mills (Family).

Natalie works with clients to achieve their objectives on a range of real estate matters including buying and selling commercial properties and negotiating leases of properties.

Hannah also began her legal career at BPE in 2018 and now advises clients on all areas of family law with compassion and a growing expertise which also incorporates an accomplished advocacy skill.

BPE’s Managing Partner Antonia Shield, said: “I am always delighted to announce promotions, especially for those people who have developed their practice at BPE over the course of a number of years.

"Peter and Katie have developed respect from clients and colleagues alike and I’m proud to welcome them to the partnership group.

"Natalie and Hannah demonstrate our commitment to developing and nurturing young talent and I am excited to watch them grow in their new roles”.

Peter Davison is deputy editor of The Business Magazine. He has spent his life in journalism – doing work experience in newsrooms in and around Bristol while still at school, and landing his first job on a local newspaper aged 19. By 28 he was the youngest newspaper editor in the country.

An early advocate of online news, he spent the first years of the 2000s telling his bosses that the internet posed both the biggest opportunity and greatest threat to the newspaper industry and the art of journalism. He was right on both counts.

Since 2006 he has enjoyed a career as a freelance journalist. He lives in rural Wiltshire with one wife, two children, and three cats.
