Evelyn Partners hosts cost-of-living crisis seminar for Bristol’s finance leaders
The challenges posed by the cost-of-living crisis will be discussed at a special business finance seminar in Bristol hosted by wealth management and professional services group Evelyn Partners.
The Insights for Finance Leaders event on November 23, which is being held at Evelyn Partners’ Bristol office in Portwall Place, will address some of the key financial issues currently facing businesses and offer guidance on managing costs.
The breakfast event will cover the following topics:
- Managing the tax agenda to reduce costs and optimise cashflow.
- Reporting and regulatory update, including financial reporting refreshers, reporting on climate change and audit and corporate governance reforms.
- Generating cashflow savings through effective VAT management.
- Managing risk in an inflationary environment.
- Inflation-busting actions focussing on business turnaround, budgetary control, cost reduction and cash improvements.
Mark Bishop, who is an audit partner in the firm’s assurance and accounting team, said: “Having shown great leadership throughout the pandemic, most finance leaders are now facing a wave of challenges from the cost-of-living crisis whilst they continue to address the fallout of the last two years.
“Managing increasing energy costs, inflationary pressures on salaries and a multitude of other macro-economic issues would be difficult enough on their own, without the additional complications of an uncertain political agenda.
“At Evelyn Partners we strive to place the power of good advice into more hands. For finance leaders, that means ensuring you understand the key changes across the different areas of tax, as well as emerging issues, opportunities and best practice in the wider financial landscape so that you can effectively manage costs and cash flows.
“We are therefore pleased to invite local finance professionals to the first of our hugely popular finance seminars to be held in Bristol since the pandemic, specifically focused on the cost-of-living crisis.”
