Coventry-based law firm Shah and Co is expanding through the acquisition of Stoke’s Bansal and Co.

Shah and Co were founded by Haren Shah in 1985. It has since expanded to 100 clients located from Coventry to Stevenage.

The Stoke-based Bansal and Co is to be incorporated into Shah and Co’s growing network of practices, increasing the Shah family’s presence in the city and surrounding areas.

As part of the takeover, all of the Bansal and Co employees will become part of the Shah and Co group, which now numbers 24 employees.

Haren Shah, co-founder of Shah and Co, said: “We’ve known Kant Kumar Bansal for 30 years, and with his impending retirement we thought it would be a great way to not only sustain a long-running business that’s part of the furniture in Stoke, but to continue our upward trajectory as a medium sized firm.

“We see Bansal and Co as a perfect match for us and what we try to achieve day-to-day, as general practitioners serving the local community. We’re looking to continue the exceptional service Kant and his staff has been providing over the years, providing a personalised service to our valued clients.”
