Law firm Clarke Willmott has been reappointed to the National Farmers Union legal panel for the South West, following an extensive re-selection process.

The Bristol-based firm will continue to cover Somerset, Dorset, Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire.

As a panel firm, Clarke Willmott’s specialist and dedicated agricultural team offers discounted legal services to NFU members in a wide range of sector-led contentious and non-contentious matters.

These include all types of disputes, including regulatory, agri-property and contentious probate, conveyancing, succession planning, diversification, renewable energy, planning, probate, family and commercial matters.

Esther Woolford, head of the agriculture sector team at Clarke Willmott, said: “We have been on the NFU panel since its inception, and we are delighted to have been renewed for a further three years.

“This reflects our excellent relationship with the NFU generally and recognises the strength of the specialist legal offering Clarke Willmott has and can provide to the agricultural community. It highlights our status as one of the largest agriculture teams in the country.”

The NFU legal panel is recognised as a vital part of the services made available to NFU members, offering a total discount of over £500,000 to its members in the last financial year.

Mel Squires, NFU regional director for the South West, said “We represent nearly 9,000 farming member businesses across the region and our legal panel firms are an important part of the service we offer.

"We work closely with them throughout the year and very much welcome Clarke Willmott's re-appointment, and the continuation of our relationship for the benefit of members."
