A pair of Brighton employee benefits brokerage groups won a number of major industry accolades at the UK Health & Protection Awards 2023.

The awards, which were hosted at London Hilton Park Lane by comedian Russell Kane, saw Hooray Health & Protection and Engage Health Group pick up accolades for work in advising companies on workplace health and protection policies.

Hooray Health & Protection won Best Small Business Advice Firm and Best Sales & Retention Advice Team, while Engage Health Group picked up Best International Group Advice Firm in front of a crowd of 750 people.

Charlie Cousins, Founder & Director at Hooray Health & Protection, said: “This is a huge achievement for a small business in Brighton with twenty-odd staff competing against multi-national companies with thousands of staff.”

“It’s testament to the hard work everyone has put in and our commitment to ensuring businesses get the best possible advice when investing in employee benefits.”

Engage Health Group’s award received the highest judges score ever recorded by UK Health & Protection.

Ian Abbott, International Director at Engage Health Group, said: “We really pride ourselves on our international expertise, so it’s wonderful to get the recognition.”

“We’re able to compete against the biggest brokerage firms because of our commitment to giving bespoke consultancy as opposed to a more generic approach to advising clients.

“We’re keen to further grow the team and expand our offering for businesses in the coming year.”
