BPE Solicitors strengthens Private Client Team with three new recruits

Cheltenham based law firm BPE Solicitors has further strengthened its Private Client team throughout lockdown with the recruitment of three additional lawyers.

The Private Client team, now boasts four Partners with Clare Young and Peter Tyrrell leading the team, as well as three Associates and two Solicitors.

Joining the team just as lockdown was introduced, Tom Bird had to get to know the team and clients virtually. Tom joined BPE as an Associate Solicitor from B P Collins and specialises in Wills, estate planning and trust creation, as well as advice on protecting assets and organising personal affairs. He is also a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Associate Solicitor, John Pengilley, joined BPE as the office began to re-open and brings with him experience in all areas of Private Client law. Prior to joining BPE, John worked at Royds Withy King, and supports clients with a wide range of Private Client matters including Will structures and discretionary trust Wills.

Jess Beddows, who was previously at Lodders, joined the team as a Partner towards the end of lockdown and brings with her over nine years of experience in Private Client law. Jess specialises in advising elderly and vulnerable clients in respect of their financial affairs and health & welfare. She has also acted on several Court of Protection matters including applications for a Statutory Will and a Deed of Variation on behalf of a vulnerable beneficiary.

The Private Client team offers a wealth of experience to clients in all areas of Private Client law, including specialist tax advice from Partner, Malcolm Emery, who joined BPE in 2019 and is dual qualified as a both a Solicitor and Chartered Tax Advisor
