Boyes Turner advises Occuity on its £2 million crowdfunding round

Thames Valley law firm Boyes Turner has advised medical technology startup Occuity on its crowdfunding round, with the company raising £2m already, against a £1.8m target and at a £12.9m pre-money valuation.

According to Occuity, the funds will go to the development of new optical screening and monitoring devices that aim to detect the early signs of chronic health conditions, including diabetes, by scanning the human eye.

The law firm's team of corporate specialists advising Occuity include Partner Chris Dobson, Senior Associate Sophie Payne (pictured), and Solicitor Rachael Brenchley.

Sophie Payne said: “Occuity’s technology has the potential to improve the lives of hundreds of millions of people worldwide."
