Legal firm, B P Collins have announced that seven lawyers have received a promotion.

Kathryn Fielder in the employment team; dispute resolution lawyer, Steven Smith and Sadie Glover in the family team will all be promoted to partners.

Solicitors, Nicola Newton in the property team, Manjot Dhillon in the property dispute resolution team and Hannah Yellop in the family team will all become associates.

With over 20 years of experience, Kathryn Fielder is an employment specialist, with a wealth of knowledge and expertise on contentious and non-contentious matters. She also works within  B P Collins’ business immigration team and is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association (ILPA).

Ms. Fielder is regarded by independent legal directory, The Legal 500, as a ‘Rising Star’ in employment and a ‘Next Generation Partner’ for immigration.

Steven Smith specialises in all types of commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters with a particular focus on construction disputes; contractual disputes, including misrepresentation claims; debt claims; professional negligence and consumer claims. In addition to an extensive advisory practice, Steven acts for both claimants and defendants in all stages of litigation in the High Court and County Court. Steven also has experience in other forms of dispute resolution, in particular mediation and adjudication.

Sadie Glover qualified as a solicitor in 2006 and practices all aspects of family law, including divorce and financial settlements, separation, cohabitation, children and both pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. Sadie is a member of Resolution, an organisation which promotes the need for a practical and non-confrontational approach in all Family matters. Sadie is soon to be a published author, with her book, ‘A Practical Guide to Short Marriages for Family Lawyers’, set to be published in the summer.

Newly appointed senior associate, Matthew Crockford, commonly handles high value, and often complex, residential property transactions.  He has demonstrably achieved several successful outcomes for high-net-worth clients in time-sensitive circumstances.

Simon Deans, senior partner, said: “These promotions are well deserved. Each lawyer has demonstrated a commitment to their clients by offering a bespoke and personal service. They have combined sterling legal advice with a strategic and – for our business clients – commercial mindset. Very well done to them."
