Azets, the UK's largest regional accountancy and business advisers to SMEs, has appointed Scott Browning as associate director of audit and assurance in its Orpington, Kent office.

Scott Browning appointed as associate director of audit and assurance

Browning was formerly part of the leadership team at Baxter & Co where he obtained a  wealth of experience over the past 14 years. Prior to that, Browning undertook his professional training at Crane and Partners.

Browning brings his wide industry experience to the expanding Orpington team, where he will help grow the business and client base. In addition to Orpington, Azets has offices in Maidstone and Ashford as well as many others in the South East region and throughout the UK.

Browning will work extensively with Azets academy clients, an area where Azets has broad and deep expertise. Browning’s experience in the academy sector has been put to good use over the years helping and advising academy clients of varying sizes. He was instrumental in the development of an early software program that produced statutory accounts for academies in conjunction with a large software provider.

Browning said, “I am thrilled to become part of the Azets team with the opportunities it offers, and have been very pleased with the warm welcome and support I have received.   Joining a new company in a pandemic is an unusual experience but everyone has made me feel very much at home already.”

Cathy Cooper, audit partner at Azets, commented, “We are very fortunate to have Scott join us as a key member of our growing Orpington team and his skills and experience will  greatly help us service our impressive client base as well as expand the business.“

In his spare time, Browning is an accomplished tuba player and has competed on both the national and international stage. He is involved with several amateur and professional music groups.
