Apprentices prove top-class for RM Group

  • RM Group increases apprenticeships from 6 to over 40 in just two years
  • Supporting National Apprenticeship Week (4-8 March 2019)

RM have a very simple mission – to improve the life chances of people worldwide – by delivering great education products and services that help teachers to teach and learners to learn. RM Group are one of the largest employers in Oxfordshire with over 700 colleagues based across its sites. They are focused on recruiting and retaining the very best applicants and apprenticeships are proving a highly successful channel for the company: in just two years, RM Group have increased their number of apprentices from 6 to over 40.

Angela Sherwood, Group HR Director at RM comments: “The team at RM has a considerable responsibility - we work with thousands of educational organisations and establishments, providing them with products, software and services to ensure the best outcomes for all learners. We see apprenticeships as fundamental in creating the best possible team at RM – we work with talented individuals, developing their skills so the apprentices can enjoy a flying start to their chosen career. We have apprenticeship opportunities across the organisation from sales to events, software development to project management. We will soon be announcing the latest apprenticeship opportunities for the 2019 intake.”

Georgie Guy is currently a Level 4 Project Management Apprentice within RM. Georgie said: “Since I joined RM, my knowledge about business, and working in a team delivering important projects, has grown exponentially. I have been able to achieve an awful lot already. Working on an apprenticeship gives you so much independence and the experience is truly unique.”

The 12th annual National Apprenticeship Week runs from 4 to 8 March 2019 and RM will be sharing stories and case studies from apprentices throughout the week.
