The BDO team which operates out of the firm’s Birmingham and Nottingham offices, has doubled in size over the last 18 months and made a raft of promotions and new appointments.

Ben Peterson, who has been with BDO for 13 years, has been promoted to director with Abdul Malik and Daniel Timms both promoted to senior manager.

The team also welcomes two new assistant managers, Erin Breen who returns to the UK having spent two years working in the British Virgin Islands and Jacob Shaw who joins from BDO’s audit department.

Ryan Grant, BDO partner, commented on the changes:

“We have a highly experienced restructuring team working across the UK and have seen increased demand in the Midlands for a wide range of the services we provide.

“The team has strong expertise in preserving value, reviewing options and improving business performance of companies that may be facing financial and operational challenges.”

Lee Causer, also a BDO partner added: “Our team has a breadth of experience in working with businesses across a wide variety of clients and sectors throughout the region. Our newly enlarged team demonstrates our commitment to further supporting our clients, and assisting them, wherever possible, to overcome the challenges they are facing.”

The news comes just two months after BDO announced a record number of promotions (94) across the Midlands. The firm also recently published its annual revenues and profits which both increased by a quarter to £578m and £134m respectively.
