Barry Ross has been announced as the new MD of Oxfordshire-based Crossland Employment Solicitors, with former MD Beverley Sunderland continuing on as partner.
Barry joined Crossland in 2011 and became a director in 2017. Alongside his latest promotion, Maria Hoeritzauer and Owen Dear have been named directors, while Kevin Charles will remain as consulting barrister.
Crossland transitioned to employee ownership in 2021 and has continued to thrive since. All four of its partners, as well as Kevin, were recognised as experts in the latest Legal 500 and Chambers UK guides.

On switching roles at the firm, Beverley said: “I cannot tell you how proud I am of our amazing team and I wish them every success as we move forward into the next phase of team Crossland.
“This means that now I’m able to spend less time on the administration of running the business, I can increase my availability and focus on our clients.”
Barry added: “I’m delighted to take over the MD reins from Bev so she can concentrate on client work and provide her invaluable mentoring to the more junior team members.
“I want to thank Bev for her amazing support for me personally – from the day she offered me a job on the spot when I was her opponent in a case, to her generosity sharing her time, great wisdom, experience, business acumen and legal tenacity.”
