Thatcham Research has announced that its Automotive Academy will be supplied with premium surface preparation materials by Indasa Abrasives.

This collaboration marks a combined interest in helping to improve the development of the UK’s crash repair industry through the maximisation of individual skills.

Head of repair sectors services at Thatcham Research Dean Lander said: “With rapid evolution in vehicle technology it is becoming critical to understand how traditional repair techniques can be sustained, while ensuring these do not compromise vehicle safety systems.

‘’Our focus at the Automotive Academy is to ensure our customers’ success through our insight. With the support of Indasa, we can ensure that insight supports future technical competency requirements long into the future.”

Thatcham Research is a not-for-profit insurer-funded research centre that has been at the forefront of vehicle safety, security, and repair for over 50 years.
