Solid State reports strong start ahead of AGM
Solid State plc, the Redditch-based specialist value-added component supplier and design-in manufacturer of computing, power, and communications products, reported a strong financial start to the year on Wednesday ahead of its AGM.

The firm said it continues to benefit from its robust and diverse customer base across multiple sectors, with particularly strong order intake in the security and defence sector, with the medical sector continuing to see good demand and new design opportunities.
Its order book, said the firm, remains strong, totalling £101.1m with around 65 per cent expected to be delivered in the remainder of the current financial year.

The company is expected to report revenue of £147.3 million for the year ending March 31 - up from £126.5 million last year – and pretax profits of £11.9 million – up from £10.8 million.
