Fast track production company Plunkett Associates has been accredited as a member of Made in Britain.

Made in Britain brings together the British manufacturing community, united with the use of the registered collective mark. The mark is protected and can only be used by members of Made in Britain that meet the criteria we set to guarantee the member is a British manufacturer.

Tim Plunkett, Plunkett Associates director, said: “The last year has certainly been a challenging one, however if we are to look for silver linings, the pandemic has certainly served to highlight the weakness of global manufacturing chains which has resulted in a long overdue investment within British Manufacturing, of which we are delighted to be involved.

“We are proud of the added value we give to clients (particularly over the last year) in providing a knowledgeable and experienced ‘one-stop shop’ UK manufacturing service. Removing the worry involved in sourcing multiple suppliers for differing elements of projects, saves our clients time, headaches and money.

“In conjunction with our sister company, Adept Precision, the ability to provide UK precision machining plus prototype and production tooling along with an integrated moulding capability, has provided our clients with a very much valued option of a local, fast track production resource.

“We also understand the importance of time within Product Development and so our support within manufacturing goes beyond purely what we do in house. Our consultancy services ensure our clients receive expert advice and support which helps them get the right part first time, using the most cost-effective production method.

“Being accepted as a member of the Made in Britain organisation is confirmation for us that the time and investment we as a company have put into our manufacturing processes have been recognised. We are delighted to be able to showcase the talent we have within the UK and help progress British Manufacturing.”

John Pearce, chief executive of Made in Britain said: “We’re delighted that Plunkett Associates has joined the community of more than 1200 British manufacturers. The more the mark is used and seen, the more it is recognised as a mark of quality. We look forward to watching them grow further with our help and support."
