Boeing inks 10-year distribution agreement with Gloucestershire OEM Ontic

Boeing has renewed its exclusive distributor partnership with Cheltenham-based aerospace OEM Ontic.

Over the next ten years, Ontic will continue to provide Boeing with thrust reverser actuation systems (TRASs) and propeller electronic control units (PECUs).

The distribution portfolio also includes fuel controls, actuation, memory wheel devices, lighting, interior electronics and wipers product lines, and business and general aviation displays for a range of civil and military aircraft platforms.

Boeing’s portfolio spans more than 15 million parts, supporting customers in defence, commercial, rotorcraft and business and general aviation.

“This collaboration not only expands our product offerings, but also reinforces our commitment to delivering world-class support to our engine operators.”

Ontic has also announced the appointment of Jack Karapetyan to the newly created role of vice president and general manager of global manufacturing, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations.

Previously joint GM of Ontic’s site in Chatsworth, California, Jack will now be tasked with growing the firm’s MRO operations.

Jack said: “I’m thrilled to be taking on this new challenge at Ontic.

“There’s a lot of work to do and I’m already in conversation with some customers.

“MRO is a cornerstone of our industry, and I’m looking forward to expanding our operations in this area.”
