Trethowans, a law firm with offices in Hampshire, Wiltshere and Dorset, has announced a new event partnership with the ABP Southampton Marathon taking place next year.

The event will see 8,000 runners hit the streets of Southampton in a Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and Fun Run.

Participants vary from local and national first-time runners, run club members, charity fundraisers and personal-best record breakers.

Trethowans are no strangers to the event, this year the firm had a team of 11 runners supporting their charity partner Mountbatten Hampshire, raising £3,000 for the cause.

Chris Rees, Race Director of the ABP Southampton Marathon, said: “We are delighted to be working with Trethowans towards the ABP Southampton Marathon.

''It is great to have the support of a local firm with a leading presence in the South. We look forward to further developing our relationship with Trethowans and seeing their team of runners back next April!”

Trethowans will support Mountbatten Hampshire again at next years marathon, hoping to raise even more money through their marathon efforts.

Mountbatten Hampshire care for over 3,000 local people and, as an independent charity, rely on donations to keep operations afloat.

Mike Watson, Managing Partner at Trethowans, said: We’re excited to announce our partnership with Rees Leisure and the ABP Southampton Marathon, which is bound to be a great day and a chance for runners (and non-runners!) from all over to take on various distances and challenge themselves in 2024.

“Several members of our team have already signed up to take part. We’ll be there to cheer them on and hope to raise lots of funds for our chosen charities.”
