TX, the purpose-built all-electric taxi, is now officially available to purchase at Snows LEVC, part of Snows Motor Group.

Located at First Avenue in Southampton, the new premises will provide full sales and after-sales support to hackney carriage drivers in the area

There are already a number of all-electric TX taxis operating in Southampton, helping drivers’ lower running costs and offering passengers a more premium experience

Snows LEVC, located at Snows Motor Group Millbrook showroom in Southampton, will be the new home of the LEVC’s purpose built all-electric TX in Hampshire and will be run by group franchise manager Mark Austin, operating as part of the Snows Motor Group.

LEVC has seen major demand for the TX model across the UK and Europe, with 3,000 sold since its launch in early 2018.

Drivers and fleet owners enjoy its clever eCity technology, which combines 80 miles of zero-emissions pure electric range with the flexibility of a total electrically driven range of 377 miles - made possible thanks to the on-board range-extender.

Snows Motor Group chairman Stephen Snow said: “This is an exciting time to bring LEVC into the business. Demand for zero emissions taxis is increasing and LEVC’s reputation for excellence and innovation was a huge draw for us.”

He continued: “Drivers and fleet operators are realising both the financial and environmental merits of switching to electric taxis.

“Snows LEVC looks forward to providing superb products and outstanding service to taxi and van drivers across the region and beyond.”

Since January 2018, 3,000 electric taxis have been produced, preventing 6,800 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere and saving 850,000 litres of fuel.

By 2022, the Ansty manufacturing facility will be working at full capacity, building 20,000 vehicles a year that include the TX Taxi, and the LCV, a new electric urban van, which will be launched in 2020.
