There has been around 15% increase in demand for rural holidaying in Worcestershire according to research undertaken by Visit Worcestershire.

With the holiday season far from over, numbers from Visit Britain suggest that 43% of us are now intending on taking a break in the UK.

At one site near Worcester, expansion is now on the cards. At Ockeridge Rural Retreats the increase in demand has meant that the they have been able to expand to accommodate more luxury shepherd’s huts at their site.

Lorna Robinson, Visit Worcestershire Manager said, “Worcestershire is a great place to escape to, with lots of interesting places, attractions and restaurants to explore. We are thrilled to see so many local businesses and attractions have reopened safely and that people are coming to enjoy Worcestershire. “Our new look website offers visitors a one stop shop with staycation ideas, accommodation and camping recommendations, and blogs with what to do while you are here.”

The Visit Worcestershire website has been refreshed for autumn and will be offering helpful recommendations for you to enjoy the county whether you are visiting or having a staycation at home this year.
