A new Kia dealership has opened in Berkshire through motor retailer Snows. With the full complement of new Kia models, the sales operation in Newbury is Snows’ 35th franchise in southern England.

It is also represents a trio of Kia dealerships for Snows; Basingstoke is in its seventh year and Guildford marks its third year from January.

Adam Lawrence, Snows Group franchise manager, said: “We were approached by Kia because of our successful track record in selling the popular marque in Basingstoke and Guildford.

“Whilst this is our first entry into Berkshire, our sales controller Ken Morgan worked on site for a previous company, City Motors, which sold Kia cars at the time. Ken has a great relationship with customers and we’ve had a super start since opening in August.”

Snows, with nearly 800 staff and headquartered in Southampton, will also be opening a service department on site, offering all Kia service facilities.

Led by Morgan, the team at Snows Kia Newbury, which is at The Triangle at Pinchington Lane, includes sales executives Ben Hutchins and Harry Sharpe and weekend host Amber Wickens.

Lawrence said: “We anticipate hiring more staff as Kia’s seven-year warranty promise and offers, plus the new 67 plate, are proving a draw for showroom customers looking for motoring peace of mind and value.

“New cars include the compacts, such as the All-New Pincanto and KIA Venga, to mid-size models such as the New Kia cee’d GT and All-New Optima Sportwagon Plug-in Hybrid, MPV New Carens and, in the SUVs/4X4 range, Kia Sportage and the All-New Kia Sorento.

“Upcoming models are the All-New Kia Stonic, an eye-catching compact crossover, and the head-turning Kia Stinger Gran Turismo.”

Lawrence added: “Kia is a highly respected brand, synonymous with driving comfort, quality, reliability, technology, competitive pricing, the market-leading seven-year warranty and a series of industry awards.”

A selection of quality Kia Approved used vehicles is also available at the dealership; Newbury has 30 from around 100 within Snows’ three Kia franchises.

Snows took over the vacant site in Newbury after City Motors left – the showroom had already benefited from refurbishment.

Snows Kia Newbury was the second franchise to be opened by the Snows group last month.
