Family-owned motoring business Meridien Modena is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The well-established dealership has more than 60 members of staff, three premises, and has several awards under its belt.

Lyndhurst-based Meridien Modena is the south coast’s and Channel Islands’ official dealer partner for the motor industry’s respected brands, Ferrari and Maserati. The business was founded in 1988 by owner John Butt and his two sons, Glenn and Warren. In May this year Meridien Modena launched a new 14,000 sq ft, state-of-the-art Ferrari service centre. Located on the Hounsdown Business Park, Southampton, the Ferrari service centre provides an additional servicing facility enabling the Meridien Modena team to complete restorations, pioneering technical refurbishments, as well as routine scheduled servicing on Ferrari vehicles.

In its 30 years of business, Meridien has won several awards for its customer service and facilities, including its recent title, Ferrari Global Aftersales Dealer of the Year, presented to them at the annual Ferrari Dealer Conference in the Fiorano Circuit in Italy in February this year.

Glenn Butt, managing director at Meridien Modena, added: “It’s a momentous achievement to have been successfully in business for 30 years.  We started as humble sports car dealership, when an opportunity arose to purchase a number of Maseratis which changed our business model overnight.

"In 1999, we became an official Ferrari dealership, serving the south coast and the Channel Islands. Since then we have invested heavily in our facilities and our customer service offering.

“We are firm believers that it’s not cars we’re selling, it’s a lifestyle or even a dream. Our customers have fallen in love with the idea of having one of our cars long before they’ve visited us at our showroom, and it’s up to us to deliver a vehicle that turns their dream into a reality.”
