Drivers buying a used vehicle from Hendy in Hampshire can now take advantage of the very latest in vehicle connectivity with the launch of Hendy Connect – an in-car connectivity service.
Drivers subscribing to Hendy Connect will have access to a wealth of information ranging from MOT reminders to fuel tracking, driving safety assistance, a car finder facility and if any fault develops on the car this information will be sent to both Hendy and the driver.
Hendy commercial director Mark Busby said the group was one of the first in the country to offer customers such a premium service on used cars and expects demand to be high.
“We are seeing increased use of in-car connectivity in new cars but we know that buyers of used cars also want the peace of mind of being protected and connected,” said Busby.
“We have been working with Hampshire-based Smartdriverclub which has developed the technology to make this possible and launching this option for buyers is integral to our commitment to offering buyers a premium service.”
Busby said that Hendy customers would have a small device fitted into their car and then see all their driving information on the Hendy Connect smartphone app.
“There is a wealth of information available to drivers to help with their everyday driving and also in the case of a theft or an accident,” he added. “If for example you are involved in an accident and we can’t contact you, we will direct emergency services to your location so there is complete peace of mind.”
Hendy Connect is available to buyers of used cars from Hendy across Hampshire from dealerships in Winchester, Southampton, Fareham, Eastleigh and Portsmouth.
