Gloucester Food Dock welcomes more businesses

Gloucester Food Dock, which opened last year, has welcomed two more businesses; Strip Steak Bar and Mexican restaurant Elote. Joining an already impressive line-up these two businesses will further enhance the food offer at Gloucester's newest food and leisure destination.

Strip Steak Bar's Ross Sanders and chef Arthur Knights have worked together for more than a decade and are the masterminds behind the award-winning steakhouse The Lazy Cow. Now they come together again to showcase their skills from the newly opened Stroud Hotel to Gloucester Docks.

Arthur said: “We offer both chicken and beef in a unique environment creating an experience of premium street food. There are no bookings, no bother and no bull! Just perfectly cooked steak, served rapidly.”

Elote is an all-day Mexican dining concept. Local chef Lewis Spencer will introduce an authentic Mexican menu to the broadening mix already at the food destination.

The menu has been developed from traditional Mexican dishes, drawn from an admiration for the people and culture after Lewis’ travels through the region. It will feature dishes created from ingredients sourced directly from Mexican grocers, including crisp, fresh en salada, Tacqueria to Mexican street corn, also known as ‘elote’. From citrus cured fish to a daily brunch, Elote is true authenticity. You will even find a coffee bar with a plant wall where you can purchase your own plants to take home.

This will be a standout offering of simple cuisine, executed well, with great attention to detail. A casual dining experience with a focus towards authentic dishes bursting with the flavours of Mexico. Located within one of the Quayside premises including the historic vaults, step inside this beautifully fitted space and embrace the warm, welcoming aesthetic.
