A fine-dining, Indian-inspired restaurant in Cheltenham is releasing a cookbook on its recipes – a significant milestone in celebrating its most successful dishes over the past decade and offering guests the opportunity to recreate their favourites at home.

Prithvi, an award-winning restaurant on Cheltenham’s Bath Road, will officially launch its very own cookbook this autumn, containing the most sought-after recipes that have had guests flocking through its doors since 2012.

Those who have enjoyed Prithvi’s Michelin guide-featured menus will be able to serve up its contemporary Indian cuisine in their own kitchens, recreating the gastronomic delights they have experienced at the restaurant with family and friends.

Head chef, Thomas Law, a 2 Michelin star trained chef with experience in some of the best kitchens in New York, Australia and the UK, has spearheaded the creation of the cookbook, having had many customers ask for the recipes of his beloved dishes.

Jay Rahman, Prithvi’s owner, said: “We’re very excited to soon be releasing our long-awaited cookbook, as it’s something we’ve been wanting to do for years. Guests often ask us about our recipes, with a keen interest in trying to replicate them in their own kitchens, so we decided it was time to help them achieve just that.

“We've selected all our most loved dishes since Prithvi’s inception 12 years ago, and hope people will have just as much fun in creating them as we did. We’re really proud of how far Prithvi has come and feel extremely grateful to be in a position where guests are showing interest in receiving a cookbook from us. So it’s only right we fill it with the very best dishes to enable them to recreate some of the special memories they’ve experienced in our restaurant.”

He added: “Tom has done an amazing job in pulling the book together, carefully determining and including our most celebrated dishes, and we hope the early teaser of the venison tartare recipe helps to build some excitement.”
