Countdown to more stores opening at Five Valleys

The team at Five Valleys shopping centre in Stroud are preparing for more of the centres stores and businesses to reopen from next Monday 12th April.

The centre’s key essential retailers have traded through the third national lockdown – including Wilco’s, Home Bargains and Master Cobbler. JoJo Maman Bebe has operated a click and collect service and the markets food to go traders have operated a zero emissions Home Delivery service and a click and collect service via Good Sixty.

On Monday April 12th the lockdown easing will see more stores at Five Valleys opening their doors to customers for the first time since January. Non-essential stores will be permitted to reopen to shoppers as well as gyms, hairdressers and beauty salons.

Businesses including JoJo Maman Bebe, Sub Couture, Redheart London, UK Nails and Beauty and Medulla Hair Salon will all reopen at Five Valleys. The centre’s Anytime Fitness gym will open its doors to members.

The new Sandersons Boutique Department store will also host its official opening on Wednesday April 14th. The company has expanded during the Coronavirus pandemic, investing during a difficult time for the High Street.

The new store has created new jobs for the local community, and though it opens in one of the most challenging years for retail, CEO Mark Dransfield is confident his team have a successful formula to bring something different to the region.

The new Stroud store covers 15, 295 sq. ft, stocking womenswear brands, including Cotswold based luxury fashion brand Holland Cooper. Local Entrepreneur Jade Holland Cooper, Founder and Managing Director of Holland Cooper, is passionate about supporting Sandersons and the local community. Holland Cooper is a super high-end luxury fashion brand, with tailored tweed and wool garments still hand-cut and manufactured in the UK.

Centre Manager at Five Valleys, Dionne Moore, said: “We have been working closely with all our stores here at the centre to ensure a smooth and safe return to full trading and we can’t wait to welcome back more of our stores and businesses and of course our customers.

“We would like to thank everyone for the fantastic support our market traders have received in recent weeks – shoppers can visit the market or use the Good Sixty delivery service which is proving really popular.”

It is hoped that restaurants and cafes will open to indoor diners from May 17th. Under the lockdown easing roadmap Stroud Bowl and The Vue Cinema are scheduled to re-open in May, as well as indoor dining at the Five Valleys Market and Curio Lounge.
