Bristol-based Butcombe Pubs & Inns, owned by Liberation Group since 2015, scooped a trio of prestigious awards at this week's Publican Awards.
The brewery and pub group, with an estate spanning the south west, took home titles of Best Accommodation Operator, Best Premium Food Offer and Best Managed Pub Company (+51 sites).
The evening was hosted by Top Gear presenter Paddy McGuinness at Evolution London.
Jayson Perfect, Group Managing Director, Pubs & Inns, Liberation Group said: “It’s absolutely amazing, the team has worked extremely hard over the past couple of years. Walking away with three awards that we work so passionately hard for on a daily basis is phenomenal.
For 30 years the Publican Awards has recognised excellence in the pub and bar trade, celebrating the industry's very best. Considered to be the Oscars of the hospitality industry, this year’s awards were fiercely contested and Liberation Group fought off stiff competition from some of the UK's best operators.
Alice Bowyer, Head of Food, Liberation Group added: “We’re very proud of the innovation we’ve shown despite all the challenges we’ve faced in the past couple of years. Our teams work tirelessly to create dishes that embody what we, as a company, are all about – quality, taste and bringing people together.”
The Publican Awards’ judging process remains one of the most comprehensive, rigorous and reputable in the industry, ensuring that the competition remains the most respected in the pub trade as well as guaranteeing that all awards are given fairly and deservedly.
Ed Bedington, Judge, The Publican Awards says: “The team at Liberation Group has done an amazing job across a range of categories and that’s reflected in their success. The Publican Awards are tough to win, both in the competition from other businesses and in the judging process itself. Liberation Group should be rightly proud of their achievements and celebrate that success with its teams and customers.”
