Jelf colleagues from Worcester, accompanied by employees from Hiscox, successfully climbed the three highest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland in 29 hours and 18 minutes to raise a total of £10,000 for St Richard’s Hospice at the weekend.
The group of 12 began the challenge at Ben Nevis in Scotland, on Saturday, 6 July.
After summiting Ben Nevis, the team successfully ascended to the peak of Scafell Pike in the Lake District during the early hours of Sunday morning. Finally, they were driven to Snowdon in Wales to finish the gargantuan challenge by 4pm on Sunday, 7 July.
Injuries and traffic problems on the way ate into the team’s target time, nonetheless everyone gave it their all with minimal sleep and food, including the drivers and they successfully finished the momentous task at hand within the 30-hour mark.
Ben Dale, Senior Account Executive at Jelf, said: “We were very excited and nervous to push ourselves physically and mentally to complete this challenge.
We had to contend with the changeable weather conditions and relentless terrain.

The team from Jelf included: Ben Dale, Hannah Bell, Jack Wilks, Andrew Hay, Ian Vass, Jim Stevenson and Rebecca Merry.

There were also two drivers, Peter Basten and David Bridges.
