Strictly Worcestershire meet the contestants - Elaine & Stuart Watt

We live in Martley, just outside Worcester, with our four children. We own and run Stay Worcestershire, a local business that provides short term accommodation for visitors to the area and we are super excited and very proud to be part of Strictly Worcestershire 2019.

It’s been a great start and we’re absolutely sure there’s lots more fun, hard work and highs and lows to come in the coming months but we are up for the challenge!

There are a few reasons why we decided to go for it when we had the opportunity to join the Strictly 2019 team. Every day is so busy it can be difficult to carve out time to do something special together as a couple. We’re also getting the chance to raise money for our chosen local charity – St Paul’s Hostel, whose mission is to help homeless people in Worcester.

Of course, we can’t wait to put on a great show on the night too – we are both founding members of Worcester Speakers Toastmasters, so we hope our training there helps with nerves on the night – fingers crossed! We are enjoying the glamour, camaraderie and teamwork with the other fabulous contestants and the amazing organisers and fabulous dance teacher who are working so hard to bring this sparkling event together. We hope to foster some lasting friendships with such an awesome bunch of people!
