Two independent shops in Rugby are proving that the high street is the place to do business after collaborating on a range of new products.

Automotive artwork specialist, Industry & Supply, opened its first store on Rugby’s Church Street this summer and was welcomed by neighbour, established barber’s Mister Robinson’s. Business owners Neil Bannister and Matt Robinson soon discovered their brands had lots in common, with a shared vintage style and a love of classic cars and design. Together the businesses agreed to launch an exclusive range of Mister Robinson’s merchandise designed by Industry & Supply. The Mister Robinson’s custom range includes t-shirts, hoodies, mugs and stickers, as well as kid’s wear; all featuring original branded artwork hand-drawn by Neil and his team.

Matt Robinson, owner of Mister Robinson’s, comments: “Industry & Supply is just across the road from us and when Neil moved in I was immediately intrigued as I love classic cars, motorbikes, memorabilia and anything with a vintage vibe. I was chatting to Neil about buying some of his artwork to put up in the shop when he suggested creating a whole custom range of merchandise. It’s something I’ve considered doing before, but it’s been brilliant to be able to do it with another high street business. I’m so pleased with the end result and the products are already proving really popular with customers.”

Neil Bannister, owner of Industry & Supply, adds: “Industry & Supply has been an online business since 2017 and we ship to customers all over the globe, but I wanted to have a physical store where people could visit and get a better feel for the brand. When I saw an empty unit on Church Street earlier this year, I jumped at the chance to move in.

“We’ve worked with quite a few brands to produce custom merchandise ranges in the past, but it’s been really special to collaborate with one of our new neighbours on the high street. It was a natural fit for us to do something with Mister Robinson’s as our brands have lots in common and we’ve loved seeing customer’s walking up and down the street wearing the range.”

The Mister Robinson’s range of merchandise is available either in-store at Mister Robinson’s barbers or online on Industry & Supply’s website.
