Volunteers from Gloucester-based kitchenware brand ProCook joined their long-term charity partner Life’s a Beach on a local canal clean up, in honour of World Environment Day.

B Corp Certified company ProCook has volunteered 264 staff hours and collected 102.33kg of waste with Life’s a Beach charity in 2023 so far.

Life’s a Beach, the charity set up by ProCook’s Founder and CEO Daniel O’Neill, supports the eradication of single use plastics from British beaches and waterways, aims to educate younger generations about plastic pollution through school outreach, and promotes the use of reusable products.

Life’s a Beach Events and engagement Co-Ordinator Sophie Chappell said:
“This year’s World Environment Day theme is ‘Solutions to Plastic Pollution’, a topic very close to our hearts, so we’re thrilled to work with ProCook on clean ups like these.

"As a team, we’ve now surpassed the 100kg mark, ensuring that people and wildlife alike can enjoy our local areas, and we’re excited to see what else we can achieve with ProCook this year.”
