FuturePlaces, the urban regeneration organisation created to improve Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole Council, is expanding its board with three new recruits.
The newly-appointed independent chairman, Lord Bob Kerslake, a former head of the Civil Service, will now be joined by Ian Marcus OBE, Karima Fahy and Pat Hayes.
FuturePlaces, which was founded in 2021, is advancing a multi-billion-dollar revitalisation scheme to bring Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole among the top coastal locations for people to 'live, work, invest, and play'.

Councillor Phil Broadhead is BCP Council’s cabinet member for development, growth, and regeneration. He said this about the three new hires: “We created FuturePlaces with the clear aim of supporting our vision for Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole to be a place where people and businesses want to be – because of the vibrancy of our communities, the strength of our economy, the skills of our people, the wealth of our culture and the quality of our infrastructure, our environment and quality of life."
