Brickability's UPOWA renews solar PV and EV charging contract with Bewley Homes

UPOWA, part of Bracknell-based construction-focused Brickability, announced the renewal of a supply agreement with Hampshire-based housebuilder Bewley Homes, to deliver solar PV and EV charging across the latter's developments.

The deal further builds on the UPOWA roof-integrated solar and EV charger installations, which have been completed with Bewley Homes since 2021 and will help the developer overcome the challenges posed by Part L and Part S of Building Regulations.

Under the revised Part L, all new build properties built by Bewley must produce 31% less carbon emissions, while under the new Part S, all new build properties in England must have a 7kW smart EV charger fitted for every residence with a parking space.

Bewley Homes, started in 1991, and now builds around 400 new homes per year across the south and southeast of England.
