Blandy & Blandy Advises on lease for Wokingham’s first zero waste shop
Blandy & Blandy’s commercial Property team has advised on the lease of Wokingham’s first zero waste shop.
Maya Gheorghe, owner of Maya’s Refillables, is set to open a new shop in the town’s flagship Peach
Place development this spring.
Ms Gheorghe said: “Behind the scenes, there is a small network of great people helping me
and I am also thankful for Wokingham Town Council who gave me an opportunity and supported me
on my journey.
She continued: “Many thanks to Gemma Smith in the Commercial Property team at Blandy & Blandy,
who advised on the new lease in Wokingham. The firm was recommended to me and were excellent
so I’d happily do the same by recommending Blandy & Blandy to others.”
It is the second lease in Peach Place that the team has advised on, having acted for the owners of gin
bar, The Leafy Elephant, in 2019.
Blandy & Blandy has twice been named as a finalist for ‘Property Law Firm of the Year’ at the
Thames Valley Property Awards, winning in 2017, and as is highly recommended in the UK’s leading
guides to law firms, Chambers UK and the Legal 500.
