Astroscale hits space debris removal scheme milestone
Oxfordshire's Astroscale UK, the UK and European subsidiary of Astroscale Holdings Inc, has successfully completed the System Requirements Review of its Active Debris Removal mission.
The COSMIC Mission (Clearing Outer Space Mission through Innovative Capture) has been validated, which means the company's aim of creating a more sustainable space environment can begin its practical phases.
This approval also symbolises a significant step for the UK Government’s ambition to lead the global effort to clean up space.

The System Requirements Review (SRR), ,ed by the UK Space Agency, focused on the evaluation of technical requirements including the concept of the mission and detumbling methods.
