Tech-driven content marketing agency PinPoint Media will be taking to the saddle in March for their inaugural 110 mile charity bike ride from their South West office in Cheltenham to their London office in Victoria.

The Alzheimer's Society has been chosen as PinPoint Media’s charity of the year due to the recent loss of CEO Oliver Bruce’s Grandmother to Dementia. With the year ahead of them PinPoint Media, friends and family will be aiming to raise £10,000 for the charity through an array of challenges, events and experiences across the country.

Oliver Bruce, CEO of PinPoint Media said “The charity is one close to my heart and that of others across the business. An illness that takes so many yet is understood by so few. Granny had been the Matriarch of our family; a proud, dignified and intelligent lady who had very high standards, she loved gardening, walking, reading and cooking. Alzheimer’s stripped her of all of this. It felt right to try our hardest to raise as much awareness and money as possible this year in the hope that one day we can all live in a Dementia free world.”

With over 30 riders and support staff taking part in the 110 mile bike ride, the challenge has drummed up support from local politicians as well as GB cyclist and friend of the business James Lowsley-Williams. The ride takes place on the 25th March leaving Cheltenham at 0800, if you see the peloton, be sure to give them a wave.

It’s not however just the staff of PinPoint Media that will be undertaking challenges this year. Friends and family members will also be organising events such as charitable dances, triathlons and bake sales.

Zena Jones, Community Fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Society said, “There are 9,920 people living with dementia in Gloucestershire and too many are facing it alone without adequate support. We want everyone affected by dementia to know that whoever you are, whatever you are going through, you can turn to Alzheimer’s Society for support, help and advice.

We’re so grateful to the staff at PinPoint Media and their friends and family for choosing to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society as their charity of the year 2023 - their generous support will help us reach and support more people affected by dementia in the South West and we wish everyone taking part in the cycle the best of luck!”

Challenges following the London 110 include the London Landmarks Half, Trek 26, Memory Walks and Royal Parks Half!

To show your support and donate to the PinPoint Media Alzheimer’s Raise, head to their Just Giving page and pledge what you can. If you or someone close to you is affected by dementia, call Alzheimer’s Society Gloucestershire on 01452 525 222 or email
