Trade mark attorneys has appointed new partner Donald Pennant, who joins the Woking-based firm from global paints and coatings company AkzoNobel, where he was a senior attorney.
His previous experience includes responsibility for global trade mark portfolios, guiding the creation and development of global and local marketing initiatives, and coordinating action against counterfeiters.
A trade mark attorney on the UK register of Trade Mark Attorneys, Pennant is also a European trade mark attorney practising before OHIM (the European trade marks office based in Alicante, Spain). He has an LLM in IP litigation from Nottingham Law School, and accreditation as a higher courts litigator by the Intellectual Property Regulation Board.

The appointment means that Alexander Ramage Associates now has a total of six trade mark attorneys, three of whom trained with the firm.
