Chris Shelley, intellectual property partner at Manches LLP Thames Valley, has been recognised as one of the world's leading patent practitioners in the 2013 edition of IAM Patent 1000, making him one of only six UK lawyers to be highly recommended for their licensing capability and expertise.

The IAM online publication ranks Shelley as ‘highly recommended’ for licensing intellectual property work in the UK, evidenced by extensive independent research.

In addition to this recognition, the IP team at Manches is also ‘recommended’. The 2013 edition of IAM Patent 1000 says of the firm: “With commercial law running through its DNA, this high-end group has a knack for brokering enduring patent licensing deals. A 'great group of people with true quality across the board' work out of offices in London and the Thames Valley, with the Oxford base regarded as one of the country’s finest in the transactional space. The 'outstanding' Chris Shelley heads this division and counsels companies in the life sciences and media industries, among others, to great acclaim.”

A partner in Manches' Oxford office, Shelley said of his ranking: “I’m very pleased to be highly recommended in the world’s leading patent practitioners’ IAM Patent 1000 table, and delighted to be ranked alongside some of the very best lawyers advising on IP and patent licensing law.”
