Thames Valley: James Cowper starts insolvency team
Thames Valley accountants and business advisers James Cowper LLP has expanded its practice with the launch of James Cowper Insolvency Services LLP.
James Cowper Insolvency Services brings together a 10-strong team of highly experienced insolvency, restructuring and business turnaround specialists, combining almost 100 years’ top flight experience, and the ability to draw upon the extensive resources of James Cowper, one of the region’s largest accounting firms.
Launched in February 2009 James Cowper Insolvency Services is led by James Cowper Partner Sue Staunton, a licensed insolvency practitioner who spent some 10 years working in insolvency for Grant Thornton. She is also joined by Peter Hall and Sandra Mundy, both former colleagues at Grant Thornton, Peter Whalley, formerly of PricewaterhouseCoopers, and they will be supported by a dedicated team of professionals.
Commenting on the launch of James Cowper Insolvency Services, Sue Staunton said: “The current economic climate has seen an enormous increase in demand for business restructuring and insolvency services. The launch of James Cowper Insolvency Services is a natural progression to the advice and support James Cowper offers its clients.
“Our dedicated team offers a full range of business turnaround and restructuring support across a variety of industry sectors. Our focus is to assist in the recovery or rescue of struggling businesses, but we recognise that is not always possible. When a business has failed James Cowper Insolvency Services can assist in choosing the right insolvency procedures to minimise losses to creditors and exposure on the part of directors.”
James Cowper Insolvency Services is currently working on three separate instructions.
